The 41st Xiamen University Top Ten Campus Singers Competition recently concluded at Jiannan Auditorium. Sun Jingyuan, a student from the International College, stood out among a large field of participants and won the Third Prize, showcasing both vocal skill and stage presence.

As one of Xiamen University’s most iconic campus cultural events, the competition has spanned 41 years and continues to serve as a premier platform for students to express their musical talent. Co-organized by the University Student Union, the Graduate Student Union, and the University Student Art Troupe, this year’s event drew enthusiastic participation from students across all colleges.

Following a rigorous selection process through preliminary and semi-final rounds, 20 non-professional and 8 professional contestants advanced to the finals. The final performances featured a diverse array of musical styles, from innovative interpretations of classics to vibrant contemporary pieces, delivering an aesthetically rich and emotionally resonant experience for the audience.

After careful evaluation by both professional and public judges, Sun Jingyuan from IC secured the Third Prize, reflecting not only her personal artistry but also the International College’s commitment to fostering a culturally vibrant environment that encourages students’ holistic development.

The College will continue to expand its arts education initiatives, supporting students in their pursuit of excellence and self-expression.
