2026 CSCSE-QS Advanced Diploma Programme University Exchange Conference Concludes Successfully at IC, XMU

October 21, 2026

On October 20, the 2026 CSCSE-QS Advanced Diploma Programme University Exchange Conference, hosted by Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange(CSCSE) of the Ministry of Education of China and organized by the International College(IC) of Xiamen University(XMU), was held at the International College, NO.4, Main Building Complex, Zhangzhou Campus. Representatives from over 30 overseas partner universities—including the University of Exeter, Newcastle University, the University of York, the University of Reading and the University of Sussex—attended the conference, and graduating students and their parents were present for exchanges.

The conference mainly targeted IC’s graduating students of the SQA Advanced Diploma Programme, aiming to deepen their understanding of overseas partner universities and progression policies. Over the years, with the guidance and strong support of CSCSE of the Ministry of Education, IC has hosted the conference for consecutive years, building it into an important platform serving programme students and bridging Chinese and foreign education. IC encourages students to seize the exchange opportunity, plan their studies ahead, clarify their development direction, and prepare solidly for overseas study and life.

As a key part of the conference, the SQA Programme Study Abroad Working Group of CSCSE held a study abroad guidance lecture for graduating students. Covering programme background, the Working Group's functions, study abroad planning pathways and application preparation, the lecture focused on answering students' common questions about application procedures, grade standards, academic qualification certification and master's applications. The 2026 Overseas Studies Guidebook for CSCSE-QS Advanced Diploma Programme Students was distributed on site to help students systematically understand relevant policies and application requirements.

During the university exchange session, College leaders visited each participating institution's exhibition area one by one and had cordial exchanges with representatives. Representatives held face-to-face Q&A with students on course features, programme strengths, scholarship policies and credit articulation. Students asked questions enthusiastically and interacted actively in line with their interests and future development plans, creating a lively on-site atmosphere.

This University Exchange Conference built an efficient two-way communication platform between programme students and overseas partner universities. The event was livestreamed simultaneously via the Chivast Study Abroad online platform, further expanding the conference's reach and influence.

Through centralized presentations and face-to-face consultations, students gained a comprehensive understanding of partner universities' institutional features, programme offerings, admission requirements and scholarship policies, further clarifying their study goals and progression direction and effectively supporting their academic planning. IC will continue to deepen exchanges and cooperation with overseas partner universities, optimize programme training and progression services, and help students transition smoothly to overseas study.
