International College holds the 8th "Senior Sharing Session" on UK study tour experiences
October 22, 2026
On October 20, a UK study tour experience sharing session themed "Walking Through Britain, Sharing Distant Horizons" was held in the Multifunctional Room 101, Building 4 of the Main Building Complex. Organized by the Career Planning and Development Department of the Student Development Center, the session focused on overseas study tour experiences and peer-to-peer experience sharing. It featured three well-designed segments—an ice-breaking warm-up, travel stories, and a Q&A session—providing a platform for students eager to learn about authentic overseas study life to share experiences and have their questions answered. Jiang Zhenxing, the department's supervising teacher, attended the session.

At the beginning, student host Li Yinuo, introduced introduced the theme and agenda of this sharing session and kicked off with an interactive quiz. Questions about general overseas study knowledge were prepared for the audience. Students answered enthusiastically and exchanged ideas freely. The relaxed, casual interaction helped break the ice, and the atmosphere grew increasingly warm.

Next, three students took the stage in two groups to share their experiences: Hong Ruizhi (Marketing, 2024 entry), Fang Ziruo and Zhi Ruirui (International Trade and Business, 2024 entry). Drawing on their two‑week field study in the UK, they elaborated on campus visits, daily life abroad, cultural differences and travel experiences, recounting what they saw, heard and reflected on. Authentic classroom scene and snippets of local life allowed fellow students to glimpse British culture and the real experience of overseas study tours through their peers’ eyes. Between presentations, the host also introduced the arrangement and application of the UCL winter study programme, offering up‑to‑date information and guidance for students interested in short‑term overseas exchanges.
During the Q&A session, Mr Jiang raised reflective questions about overseas living experiences, focusing on Sino‑British lifestyle differences, key takeaways from the study tour, and personal growth through independence. The presenters responded sincerely from first‑hand experience, while other students pondered actively and posed questions. Through this exchange, experience was shared and horizons broadened.

This study tour sharing session passes on visions and extends an invitation to set off. Through this session, students gained insights into foreign cultures and real overseas learning models via their peers’ travel accounts, gaining fresh references for their academic planning and international exchange pursuits. May all students keep an inquisitive mind, step out of their comfort zones, and seize more chances to travel far and explore the world in their future academic journeys.
