July 9, 2010

Wenqin Chen, teacher in Art Design Department of the International College —  have his sculpture Eternal curve placed in the city of Heidelberg. This piece was auctioned by the German ProMinent Group founder Chernomyrdin Deere Gail in 2008 at Sotheby's auction house in London autumn auction, and was then donated to  Heidelberg.

Wenqin Chen is a young sculptor in Xiamen. His works have shown in national and international art exhibitions and competitions many times: in 2009, his sculpture upside down won the Saatchi - the annual international art competitions runner-up in the UK and was collected; at the end of 2009, his sculpture band out  won the London urban sculpture nomination. And this time, the Eternal curve that stands in Heidelberg is a modern abstract sculpture, which has the perfect curve modeling, meaning everything changes and motions unceasingly and implying deeper philosophy and dialectical materialism. Eternal curve now stands in the main location of Heidelberg, becoming an important part of the city's urban art of civilization.
